Car Rental Guide for the Festive Period

For many, renting a car is a norm for festive periods. For others, it can be a new experience, and they may be unsure of what to expect or how to go about booking a car. So, we have created a guide for those renting a car for the upcoming festive period.

1. Choosing a car

Think carefully about what kind of vehicle you’ll need. I know, it can be difficult for you because we have lots of awesome cars from Audi, BMW , Jaguar and more 😎

For festive periods, customers typically go for a larger car like the toyota alphard, or for those with smaller families - they’ll go for a super sleek car like the BMW 5 Series (which will definitely impress their relatives!)

If you’re not looking to pay too much for petrol, do get a smaller car like the Audi A4, which is usually more fuel efficient as compared to bigger cars like the Mercedes E Class.

2. Terms & Conditions

We’ve never had a customer complain regarding our terms and conditions - so we’re pretty certain that you won’t, either. Some of the more important terms we have are :

  • Returning the car with the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up

  • Insurance excess is typically $3000 and above

  • Minimum requirements for driving our cars will be 22 years of age, with 2 years driving experience

  • No mileage limit

  • Generally speaking, our cars are not allowed to be driven into Malaysia (with the exception of some cars)

  • We can pick up/send the car to you at a cost of $50 per one way trip

If you’re unsure or have further questions, do ask one of our friendly staff :)

3. Car renter’s guide

Hidden costs? No. We don’t engage in such practices. All costs are nett and will be shown to you before you book a car. Like our customers, we also hate nasty surprises.

But take note that during festive periods, car rental prices are typically higher due to demand. But of course, this will be communicated to you upfront before you book your car.

We believe we are transparent about our car rental rates, so you will know the total cost of your rental, including estimated taxes and fees, before you book your car.

4. Picking up and Returning Your Car

Before you drive the car away, inspect the car carefully for body damages and other miscellaneous items. Be sure the lights and turn signals are working properly, and check the mileage odometer.

Familiarize yourself with the workings of the car before you drive off !

Continental luxury cars may work differently as compared to regular, Japanese ones. Ensure you know how to use the headlights, windshield wipers and turn signals. Also take note of the car plate number so you don’t lose it in a crowded car park.

Always fill the tank yourself before returning the car so that you’re only paying for the amount of fuel you actually used.

Returning your car early? No problem. Unlike other rental companies, we do not impose any early returns surcharge. Only upon a late return do we impose a surcharge.

Before leaving the vehicle, check that you haven’t left any personal belongings behind. Don’t forget to check the boot as well !
